WRCO’s annual meeting was a success! A short business meeting was held and the following people were elected officers for next year: Evelyn Miks (Chair), Gerardo Reyes (Vice Chair), Irv Loundy (Treasurer), and Pooja Patel (Secretary). Andrew Rowlas and Sara Manewith continue to be general board members.
WRCO and many involved community members welcomed Jamil Khoury and Malik Gillani to West Ridge to discuss the benefits of the arts within a community. Malik and Jamil focused on how the arts can draw tourism to a neighborhood which can lead to increased economic prosperity for a community. They proposed an investigative theater piece which would essentially draw its content from residents and their experiences within the neighborhood.
